Poems

"In addition to my performing activities, I compose short texts and poems as a discovery of a vocal expression.

A few of them appeared in my solo performances, too.

I experience words like an extension of the inner body that tries to orientate, express and communicate. Banality and profundity are close, like siblings, or two sides of the same coin.

I write in German, but begin to slowly compose in English and French too - these are not simply translations, but rather different texts that are playfully inspired by the peculiarity of each language. My texts are small and short. It´s just a further creative activity, it´s fun, no more, no less.

... a small book should be published one day ..." (Mareike Franz)

"Laugh comes from leg. It´s a running gag..."

"A long leg was the wrong leg. A left leg was the right.

It was the short, and too the shy..."

"Day without night is just light.

Night without day is just dark.

Things come by itself, we become by now.
 Sorry, forgot the purpose..."

"My bike has a wheel off.
It´s fine, it was a tricycle."

"I am a guest in my own hotel.
Please leave a window open during the nights, I check in
 each day again."

"Still no shooting star?
 Better to shine bright
than to be shot down -
 Your own light
 is the limelight."

"The napkin king

 had a nap
 with a napkin
 once

 it got my second skin

 loved to return
 to that napkin thing

it felt so soft, so thin

 like a feather
 on my lips
 kissing light my chin

 had a nap
 with a napkin
 once
 it got my second skin"
